Make it stand out
The first health professional that I went to for answers suspected mold and recommended The Great Plains Laboratory mold test. The test came back negative for mold. I then started seeing another professional, who also suspected mold and suggested I get tested again. They recommended The Great Plains Laboratory in July 2023, and again, no positive result for mold was found.
My wife read on MastCell360.com that some people receive false negatives, and it is a good idea to change tests and see. We ordered the RealTime Labs Mycotoxin panel, and my results came back positive (Image 1). The results didn’t fly off the page, though, and I wasn’t sure how to read the results.
After you start taking a binder, the levels of mold reported on the test go up.
It is essential to discontinue all binders three days prior to collecting your urine sample.
I was instructed to work up a sweat each of these days. Get active. Not required, but highly recommended.
I would take my last binders on Thursday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday would be binder-free, and I would take the test Monday morning and send it off a few hours later.
My first test results from RealTime Labs reported I was positive for Ochratoxin, Trichothecene, Gliotoxin and Zearalenone. Any result in the blue area or above is postive. Above the blue and the amount of mold is not just present but higher than normal.

Fast forward to July 2025 and my test with hisotrical results show the full picture. I started binders and the second test results shot up. I was told this was the typical response once you start binding the mold from your system.
